Midfielder Kristi Peich has earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention recognition for her accomplishments on the soccer field this year.
Senior Kristi Peich from Claremont, California recorded six goals and eight assists during the 2004-05 campaign. With 30 assists, Peich ties for third with Kristi Sullivan (2001-03) and Stephanie Herivel (1996-99) in Westmont’s record books for career assists. Sandra Asimos (1984-87) leads the career assists category with 34 while Nicole Smith (1992-95) recorded 32.
Peich has earned All-GSAC honors in three of her four years, was named team MVP in her freshman and junior years, and has served as one of the team captains as a junior and senior. “Kristi is more than deserving of this honor,” said Head Coach Dan Ribbens. “In her leadership and all of the things she brings to our team, Kristi is an All-American in so many different ways.”
An English major who will be graduating in May, Peich hopes to continue her soccer career by playing professionally abroad, possibly in Sweden.
