Gropp, of Corona, California, recorded three goals and six assists this season for the Warriors (9-2-3, 5-2-3). “Due to teammates’ injuries, Anna has moved from her natural position as a forward,” said head coach Rebecca Mouw. “She has made a tremendous adjustment at midfield. Her ability to take people on, combined with her field savvy, give us opportunities going forward. As a playmaker, she has recorded six assists which leads the league in assists made during conference play.” Gropp has also scored three goals for the Warriors this season.

A resident of Huntington Beach, California, Brown has help to solidify the Warrior defense at center back. “Her ability to win balls, combined with her ability to possess out of the back, has made her invaluable to us,” noted Mouw. “She is the one player on our team who has not come off the field. Her work rate is tremendous and she usually marks the opponents best forward. She is tenacious, physical and a tactically smart defender.”

Earning All-GSAC honors in her first year, Lawson, who hails from Honolulu, Hawaii, has impressed her coach. “Amy leads the league in goals scored during conference play with eight, four of which were game winners” said Mouw. “She has a physically strong body along with a powerful shot. That, combined with her opportunistic mentality, has been important in securing many wins for us. She makes runs as a forward that create space and chances for her teammates. If Amy stays healthy she could be a very important part of our offense for the next three years.”

The #13 Warriors will begin postseason play tomorrow as they host Vanguard in the first round of the NAIA Region II Tournament. Kick off is at 1:00 p.m. at Russ Carr Field on the Westmont campus.
