In a battle of top-10 teams, #1 Concordia (10-0, 2-0 GSAC) came out on top with a three-game sweep of #10 Westmont (13-2, 1-1 GSAC). The Eagles triumphed in the Golden State Athletic Conference match by scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-14, extending their win streak to 48 games.

Concordia tallied 10 blocks as it frustrated Westmont’s offensive efforts. The Warriors recorded an attack percentage of just .045 over the three sets. Madison Serrano led the Warriors in both kills (10) and attack percentage (.147). No other Warrior had more than four kills.

The Eagles started off the match by scoring the first five points in the first set and never allowed the Warriors to get closer than three points the rest of the opening frame.

The score remained closer at the start of the second set. However, up 8-7 the Eagles went on a 4-0 run to take a 12-7 lead. Westmont closed to 12-10 with a couple of kills by Serrano, but another 5-1 Concordia run but the set out of reach.

With the score tied at two in the third set, the Eagles put together another 4-0 run to establish a lead they would not relinquish.

The Warriors will continue GSAC play on Saturday when they travel to El Cajon to take on the Hawks of San Diego Christian (3-9, 1-1 GSAC).
