(ATHERTON, Calif.) Westmont’s men’s basketball team posted their second win of the weekend with a 77-64 victory against Cal Maritime this afternoon.

“We got a big win today. We had a very, very good shooting percentage which directly reflected the good play that we got out of a lot people today,” opened head coach John Moore.

The Warriors shot an impressive 64 percent from the field today. They were 13 for 19 in the first half alone and came out with 14 for 23 in the second. With three players finishing with double-digit points, the offense was firing on all cylinders. Daniel Carlin led the charge with 17 points, followed by Cory Blau with 13 and Gerry Karczewski with 10.

Once again, senior Daniel Carlin was a machine in the paint. He made all six of his shots from the field and grabbed seven total rebounds this evening. “Daniel was the force in the middle. He had fifteen points at the half and was all around really, really good” exclaimed Moore. “As a team we had a rebounding margin of 27-19 and shot absolutely phenomenal from the field.”

“Our bench was especially¬†good. Hayden Anderson played very well and both Sean Harman and Billy Keller continue to contribute. Sean McDonnell was exceptionally¬†good- I thought he had a superb game,” closed out John Moore.

With the win, the men progress to a season record of 3-3. They will remain on the road and take the court on Tuesday December 2 at 7:30 p.m. against Vanguard University in their first Golden State Athletic Conference game of the season.
