For the second time this season, a Westmont Warrior has received Golden State Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week honors. Today, Wilton Quintero was named the Offensive Player of the Week after recording goals in each of the Warriors’ games last week and adding an assist.

The junior midfielder from Temple City served up a ball to Blake Joyner in Wednesday’s game against San Diego Christian that started the Warriors’ comeback from a 2-0 deficit and earned Quintero an assist. Eleven minutes later, Quintero delivered a penalty kick to tie the score at two goals each.

Saturday, Quintero delivered another goal via a penalty kick, this time providing the game winner against Hope International. Quintero has converted all five of his penalty kicks this season.

On September 14, Josh Glover was named GSAC Defender of the Week. Glover produced three saves in the Warriors’ scoreless tie against then #3 Marymount of California. Later in the week, he recorded another three saves in a 7-1 win over Sierra Nevada.

Westmont is currently 4-3-1 with a record of 1-1 in conference play, tonight the Warriors take on the Eagles of Biola.
