When #7 Westmont Women’s Tennis (10-7) won the championship match of the Golden State Athletic Conference Tournament, they received an automatic bid into the NAIA Women’s Tennis National Tournament.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the Warriors have received a bye for the first round of the National Tournament.

The Warriors will automatically advance to the second round of the tournament where they will play in a match against the winner of a first round match-up between unranked Asbury (9-6) and unranked William Woods (17-2).

Asbury received an automatic bid into the National Tournament when they won the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.

Similarly, William Woods received an automatic bid into the National Tournament when they won the American Midwest Conference.

The Warriors have already advanced farther than they did last season when they lost to then number one ranked Georgia Gwinnett in the first round.

The Warriors will play in the second round against either Asbury or William Woods on Wednesday May 18 in Mobile, Alabama.
