Training Room Rules
- No cleats or shoes that have been on outdoor courts or fields are allowed in the training room. These items may be left on the shelf outside the training room.
- Athletes must shower before using the training room. This applies to rehabilitations, icing while in the training room, using the whirlpools, or waiting for evaluations.
- Bags, backpacks, and other personal items must be left on the shelf outside the training room.
- No loitering, throwing of objects, horseplay, or stacking of team gear in the training room.
- Water jugs, water bottles, and all sports medicine equipment must be checked out prior to practice and checked back in after practice. Teams will be charged for all missing items. Water jugs must be properly stored in the laundry room.
- Sports medicine does not provide towels for athletes. Locker clean-outs will occur to see if any items from the sports medicine/athletic training room are in issued athletic lockers.
- You need to arrive for treatments 1 hour before your practice or game. If you arrive later than that, i.e. 20 minutes before practice, and are not just getting out of class, you will have to talk to your coach and then return for treatment.
- Athletes in their competitive season will receive priority treatment on game days. All athletes must sign-in for treatment or supplies. Athletes will be helped in the order they sign in.
- Be patient, be early, bring homework or reading. We have over 150 athletes to treat and would love to help you at our earliest availability.
- Verbal “no”s:
- No profanity.
- No whining.
- No gossiping about coaches, teammates, or trainers.
- No “favoritism” or waiting for trainers. You will be treated by whoever is free.
