Senior midfielder Michael Thompson scored in the thirteenth minute to put Westmont men’s soccer up 1-0, but California Baptist (2-10-1, 1-4-1) came back with two goals to claim a 2-1 win over the Warriors.

“We had some good chances right away,” said Head Coach Dave Wolf. “Michael got in on the goal probably within the first minute of the game and then got a second chance, which was the one he converted off an assist from Jonathon Schoff.

“He had a third chance quickly after that,” continued Wolf. “We actually could have been up 3-0 inside of 15 minutes. But as we have often done quite frequently this year, we conceded the tying goal almost immediately.”
