Recruit Information

Westmont Athletics

Our athletic program has a long and successful tradition and is an exciting part of the campus life at Westmont. As a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC), Warrior teams compete in men’s basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis and cross country/track and field, and women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis and cross country/track and field. In recent years, virtually every team has qualified for regional and national competition and has produced individual All-American performers.

NAIA Eligibility Center

All athletes who begin playing for Westmont in the 2011-12 season must be certified through the NAIA Eligibility Center. For more information, or to begin the process, click here.

Athletic Scholarships

Each of Westmont’s 12 sports has athletic scholarships available. The athletic scholarship program is administered in conjunction with other academic and financial aid to put together a complete package. The coaching staff from each sport uses various criteria to determine which student-athletes are deserving of some level of athletic aid.

Additional Financial Aid

While investing in a quality education costs more, Westmont offers a generous financial aid program that can bring the cost of this quality Christian liberal arts education within reach of most students. Eighty-five percent of our students receive some type of financial aid in the form of scholarships, loans, grants and work-study.

The Next Step

The most critical step in the recruiting process is to make direct contact with the head coach of the sport you are interested in pursuing. This establishes a direct link of communication that can be maintained throughout the recruiting process. In addition to your personal contact information, other helpful information might include jersey number, directions to club or high school contests, GPA and test scores, names and contact information for coaches who can function as good references. Each of these can enhance the recruiting process.

E-mail and phone numbers for each coach may be found in the Athletic Directory.
