Master Plan Hearing Delayed
August 27th, 2007
The large volume of paper in the administrative record on Westmont’s Master Plan has pushed the litigation calendar back a month. The judge agreed to the revised schedule that sets a hearing on the matter back to Tuesday, Dec. 18. Officials say it took longer than expected to prepare the administrative record, which contains the transcripts of all the hearings and Environmental Impact Reports among other documents.
Westmont is seeking to construct the Winter Hall for Science and Mathematics, Adams Center for the Visual Arts, a residence hall and a chapel. The lawsuit against the county challenges the unanimous approvals of Westmont’s updated Master Plan by the Montecito Planning Commission and the County Board of Supervisors.
