The time has come to sign up for Spring Break in the City!  Spring Break in the City is a Westmont ministry which provides students with the opportunity to spend the week of Spring Break serving in Los Angeles and San Francisco.  This is a wonderful opportunity to explore urban missions, to serve God in a very practical and meaningful way, and to meet new people.  And, it’s only $45!

The October 17 Compton Clean-up was a fantastic success.  A team of 35 Westmont students had the opportunity to join several hundred other churches and colleges to repaint Kelly Elementary School.  By the time the five hours were up, the entire school featured an attractive new color and several beautiful murals.  Several Westmont students also had the opportunity to clean and paint a nearby house as well.  It was exciting to be among the thousands of Christians mobilized to bring the hope of Christ to Compton in such a tangible, visible way.

On October 16 and 17 SBIC will be partnering with Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount in the Compton Initiative, an effort to bring restoration and hope to the city of Compton.  We will be leaving Westmont Campus on Friday at 7PM from the Dining Commons parking lot and will be returning on Saturday by 4:30PM at the latest.  The cost will be $5 (free for drivers).  Please join us!  Click here to sign up now.
