Our new service provider, Qwest, is experiencing significant problems on their network. This has the effect of severely disrupting our Internet access including all services such as www, mail, library databases, vpn etc. Please be patient as this is worked out.

LANDesk is being ugpraded and we will be upgrading clients after the server is ugpraded. You will not notice a change on your computer.

The IT ground is shaking in anticipation…
This week we move to a new ISP, Qwest, up our bandwidth to 45 mbps syncronous (same speed up and down…), bring up the new mail server (really need a rain dance on this one), and make lots and lots of under-the-hood changes as a result of these two.

Next Wednesday, November 22nd, we will be switching to Quest for our Internet access. Our pipe speed will improve four-fold from 10mbps to 45mbps (a full T3 line)! Last night, email started piling up, and this morning, starting at about 9:30, the bottleneck was removed and mail is flowing freely again.

Mail was down from 5 a.m. to 7:12 a.m. today. Mailman email lists were down until about 10:30. We have had intermittent problems with IMAP connections to the mail server, and we\’re currently working on resolving these.
All other systems are up and running.
