The last day of classes was a time for celebration, as Winter Formal 2007 was held at the Camarillo Ranch inside a big, beautiful tent. The historic home, centerpiece of the occasion, was decked out for Christmas, and students posed for pictures on its garnished steps. Midnight Madness

When the doors opened at 10 p.m, crowds of Westmont students rushed into the gym to get their free T-shirts, raffle tickets, and an introduction to the ‘07-’08 women’s and men’s basketball teams. Themed “Old School” this year, Midnight Madness T-shirts saw the re-emergence of Willy the Warrior, Westmont’s old mascot. Hip-hop dance team N’Step performed at half-time, and the men’s team had a dunk contest, to the cheers of the crowd. Prizes won and raffled away included restaurant gift certificates, spa certificates, and two video iPod nanos.

Halloween Dance
Date: October 31, 2007
Time: 8pm-11pm
Location: Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center

With plenty of space, spooky decorations, and candy aplenty, the Halloween Dance proved a hit on this year’s Halloween night. As old black-and-white spook films played on a projector as a backdrop, students danced their hearts out to the beats of DJ Gavin Roy. The costume contest saw many unique entries, as students vied to be the “best costumed” and win a pair of Winter Formal tickets.
