Medina ready for women’s team after serious knee injury

After tearing an anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee early last season, Anglea Medina had to make a choice: have her knee fixed with tissue from other parts of her body or someone else’s. “I know a little bit about the differences in surgeries,” said Cougars coach Ron Pulvers, who tore both ACLs in the mid-1990s as a player at Westmont College in Santa Barbara. “Most elite athletes use the patellar method, but each athlete is different.” more
