'Blue Tempest' a light entry to Shakespeare fest

As host of the World Shakespeare Festival, Lit Moon’s own theater company owed audiences at least one play. “Blue Tempest” is John Blondell’s more metaphysical take on “The Tempest” in which, he explained in an opening introduction, the “domestic comedy” themes of the play would be explored. But the big surprise of Friday’s performance at Westmont’s Porter Theater was how the company opted for a relatively straightforward reading of the play. The “Blue” could have fallen off the marquee, and no one would have been the wiser. more
