Job market will steer some grads overseas: Area college seniors pursue alternate work

College seniors are facing one of the bleakest job markets in years, a downturn that has some applying for volunteer work or planning to teach English overseas rather than take a low-level job or work part time. Students at Westmont College in Santa Barbara are being advised to use the year or two after graduation “in an effective way” as they figure out what they want to do for a career. more
