WSoc: Lillywhite’s five goals sets Westmont scoring record

ROCKLIN – It ended with a 6-0 win by #6 Westmont Women’s Soccer (13-3, 6-2 GSAC) over William Jessup (6-11, 1-8). It ended with a recorded setting performance as Brooke Lillywhite tallied five of the Warriors six goals on seven shots. It ended with at least a share of the GSAC Regular Season Championship.

It started before the team took the field. It started in a team room down from the athletic offices of Westmont’s host. It started with singing that drew the William Jessup coaches and administrators out of their offices. more

Eagles look forward to GSAC tournament

The Eagles’ momentum builds as they prepare to take on the postseason that will commence after their final game at William Jessup University on Saturday, Nov. 1. In the previous matchup between the Warriors and the Eagles, Biola dominated the game, winning 4-1. After two games in early October resulting in a tie, the Eagles were thrilled with their win against San Diego Christian College at home on Oct. 22….The game against Westmont College, who is currently ranked one place above Biola at fourth in the Golden State Athletic Conference standings, followed the game against San Diego Christian. more

Eastside Catholic guard commits to Westmont College

Eastside Catholic guard Max Hudgins has committed to Westmont College.

The 6-foot-3 guard scored 12 points, dished three assists and grabbed four rebounds per game last year as a junior. Hudgins is also a 92-percent free-throw shooter. more

Westmont Museum Acquires Tisi Nativity Painting

The Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art has some recent acquisitions, including a painting by Benvenuto Tisi. The work by Tisi, also known as Il Garofalo, is a promised gift to Westmont by Michael Huffington in honor of Lady Leslie Ridley-Tree, valued at about a half-million dollars. more
