Victim in UCLA murder-suicide had South Coast ties

The victim of Wednesday’s deadly shooting at UCLA is described as “a very lively, lovable, likable guy” who once called the South Coast home.

The victim of the murder-suicide was a mechanical engineering professor named William S. Klug.

Colleagues say Klug was a kind, married father of two. He was an alum of Westmont College in Montecito. His attacker — a student — has not been identified. Their bodies were found in an office next to a note and a gun. more
