Odell Runs 50 Charitable Miles For 50th

Dave Odell’s footprints are spread far and wide as a businessman, a college athletic director, a father of three, and a dedicated trail runner, but for almost nine hours last Friday, his steps were circumscribed on a 400-meter oval. To celebrate his 50th birthday, Odell ran 50 miles — 201 and 1/3 times around the Westmont College track. more

Westmont College has the eye of the Princeton Tigers this basketball season. While the Warrior men are running the Princeton offense, their women’s team is running after its misses the Tiger way, coach Kirsten Moore said on Monday at the Athletic Round Table press luncheon. more

Westmont’s Kayla Sato was named the Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Sato finished in double-figure scoring in three games for the Warriors last week, tallying 22 points against Goshen — which included going 4-for-4 from the 3-point line — 14 points and 11 rebounds against Southwestern College, and 13 points against British Columbia. more

Gone, but not forgotten

Tragedy struck down the lives of not a few people in 2016. In June, 1997 Westmont College graduate and UCLA Professor William Klug was killed in a murder-suicide shooting at the campus in Los Angeles. more
