Westmont Women’s Basketball remained tied for first place in the Golden State Athletic Conference after defeating the Mustangs of The Master’s on Saturday night, 62-56. The 12th-ranked Warriors (11-5, 4-1 GSAC) held the Mustangs to 26.9 percent shooting and produced 10 blocks. more

Betty Lou Ferguson passed away peacefully at her home in Atascadero, on Wednesday evening, Dec. 27, 2017. … During her freshman year at Cheney, Betty Lou was invited by her aunt Maria Wolff to visit Westmont College in Santa Barbara – where Maria served on faculty. She accepted the invitation, visited that beautiful campus and subsequently transferred to Westmont. more

On the morning of Jan. 9,  a team of seven Montecito Fire Protection District firefighters, led by indomitable Division Group Supervisor Maeve Juarez, worked selflessly to help rescue and evacuate hundreds of victims of the Montecito flooding disaster. … Daniel Arnold, a 2003 graduate of Westmont College, is an engineer at the Montecito Fire Protection District.
