Peter Gehle (Coconino, ’06) Azusa Pacific (Calif.) — The junior pitcher struck out seven over six innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits in a 5-4 win over Westmont (Calif.) on Tuesday. He picked up the win to improve to 6-3 on the season. more

Santa Barbara County Sheriff-Coroner Bill Brown, who flew over the burn area early today, said the Mount Calvary Benedictine monastery appeared to be completely destroyed and that he counted more than 80 homes burned to the ground, many in the winding streets around Westmont College. more
