Valentine’s Day has passed but love is still in the air — at least in the literary sense — at the Kern County Library’s northeast branch.  Today, the library will host a Literary Speed Dating event, the brainchild of branch supervisor Ariel Dyer. She organized a similar event at the Literary Society at Westmont College when she was a student there and thought it would be a good fit. more

Hibbert, Snyder highlight signing ceremony at Frontier

Ben Hibbert stood at the podium in front of about 500 Frontier students, coaches, faculty members and family and took one look at his grandparents.
