Comet Trip Called Gutsy

Westmont College Professor Ken Kihlstrom will be telling his physics students all about the rendezvous with a comet.Kihlstrom called the probe landing a gutsy attempt.  He believes it will lead to the discovery of things that could not be learned in other ways.The 10-year journey is also a lesson in patience that he will be sharing with his Westmont College Students in Montecito.He is looking forward to learning more about the solar system from the probe’s landing on the comet more than 300 million miles from Earth. more

Westmont Students Cancel Ukraine Trip

The Westmont Choir has canceled a trip to the Ukraine this summer because of the political unrest and will instead make plans to travel to Lithuania.

The choir has raised several hundreds of thousands of dollars for the trip through car washes, and benefit shows during Christmas and Valentine’s Day. more
