Wolf named Westmont's director of soccer

Dave Wolf, Westmont College’s head men’s soccer coach since 1991, will also be in charge of the women ‘s program this fall as the director of soccer, the university announced on Monday. “The word that comes to my mind immediately is collaboration,” said Wolf. more

HILLEGAS, Lyle Charles

Dr. Lyle Charles Hillegas served as the fifth president of Westmont College from 1972 to 1975. At 37, he was the youngest person ever appointed to the position and the only one to come directly from the ranks of the faculty. more

Out & About : Wilson to lead alumni association

Laura Davis Wilson has been named president of the Santa Barbara High School Alumni Association. She is an academic secretary at Westmont College and active in Citizens for Neighborhood Schools. more

Eco-entrepreneurs Craig Boyce, 38, and Mark Craig, 30, started the company to tap material not often associated with the word commodity — grease and fry oil. More than 20 customers, most from the county, have contracted with Coastal Byproducts. Clients in Santa Barbara include Fess Parker’s DoubleTree Resort, Westmont College, East Beach Grill and the Habit. more

MACE, John Sutton

With family and friends by his bedside, John Sutton Mace of Lompoc, CA was called home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the age of 78.  He was born in San Jose, CA on October 31, 1929 to Dr. Calver and Mrs. Harriet Mace. John graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara and received his teaching credential through Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. more
