Alder attended Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis. She received an NFIB/Dave Easton Young Entrepreneur Award of $2,000. Gerald Carpenter: Westmont Theater Stages Parable of Nazis’ Ascent to Power

From Oct. 21-28, Westmont College Theater Department will offer a new production of Bertolt Brecht’s allegorical comedy, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, a parable (1941), directed by Mitchell Thomas. Westmont Men’s Soccer (7-3-3, 6-2 GSAC) scored early and never looked back as they finished with a 4-0 win against William Jessup (5-10-1, 2-6 GSAC) in today’s Golden State Athletic Conference game. Westmont Dedicates Leadership Center

About 400 people gathered at Westmont’s Global Leadership Center (GLC) to dedicate the central building and two surrounding residence halls on Oct. 13. The college, which celebrated its 80th year at weekend homecoming festivities, developed the idea for the building about seven years ago following a 25-city listening tour led by Westmont President Gayle D. Beebe. more
