Pop-Up Shakespeare

Marking the 400th anniversary of his death, this moveable feast of performance celebrates the astonishing achievement of William Shakespeare in a non-traditional mix of short plays, films, and dance. Inspired by Shakespeares plays and sonnets, performances are ongoing from 5 to 7:45 pm in a pop-up, informal format in spaces both expected and unexpected, within and without the Museum galleries. Presented in collaboration with Lit Moon Theatre Company, the Bitola (Macedonia) National Theatre, Westmont College, and Shakespeares Globe London. Free. more 

George Akira Takaya

George Akira Takaya, 95, passed away peacefully on December 4th 2015 at his home in Oxnard, California under hospice care. …He later served as a pastor at Bethany Congregational Church in Santa Barbara while attending Westmont College where he earned his B.A. degree as well as working as a landscaper. more

Christensen landed at Moorpark College in 1991 and played soccer for the Raiders before receiving another scholarship, this time to Westmont College in Santa Barbara. more

Fed’s dimmer outlook could mean longer bond buying
