Former Westmont College pitcher Tyson Bagley was picked in the 11th round by the San Diego Padres. Bagley, who went 3-7 with a 4.68 ERA as a Warrior freshman, played his sophomore year at Cisco JC before finishing his career at Dallas Baptist, going 4-2 with 11 saves and a 2.56 ERA this spring. more

Former Westmont Pitcher Bagley Selected in MLB Draft

The San Diego Padres selected former Westmont pitcher Tyson Bagley in the 11th round of the Major League Baseball first-year player draft. Bagley pitched for the Warriors during his freshman year before playing for Cisco Junior College as a sophomore. He finished his collegiate career at Dallas Baptist in Texas. more

Crawford takes over for Royals

Rob Crawford, former Westmont head baseball coach, has been named head coach of San Marcos High School. He was a player at Westmont when the Warriors faced USC, with Mark McGwire starting on the mound and Johnson serving as closer. Crawford struck out against McGwire, but notched a hit against The Big Unit. more

Westmont Grad Nominated by Committee for UC Student Regent Seat

Westmont alum Jesse Bernal was recommended to serve as the student regent on the UC Board of Regents for the 2009-10 school year. After earning his undergraduate degree at Westmont College, Bernal moved onto his graduate work in education at UC Santa Barbara. more
