A masked man wearing a Batman costume was caught on camera turning over a suspected criminal to the local police of West Yorkshire. The suspect will be appearing before local magistrates on Friday on charges of handling stolen goods and fraud. Batman walked into the police department and stated, “I’ve caught this one for you,” and then proceeded to vanish into the night.  The Caped Crusader is still unidentified. (BBC News)

Middle East
Swarms of locusts invaded Egypt recently, putting the Israeli Agriculture Ministry on high alert. Locusts are known to swarm and devour crops at a rapid pace, which could cause a pandemic for the nation just in time for the Passover holiday. The Agriculture Ministry set up an emergency hotline for vigilant citizens to call if they see the locusts invading Israel. For the two nations at this time in the year, such an event may be reminiscent of the Judeo-Christian Exodus story where God inflicted 10 plagues on Egypt as punishment for enslaving, abusing and refusing to release the Hebrews.  (Huffington Post, World)

Haiti
A new $250,000 WHAT KIND OF CLINIC clinic will be finished in just over a year, providing medical support, education, and housing for the impoverished village of Jacmel, Haiti. The clinic is located approximately 25 miles southwest of the country’s capital city, Port-au-Prince. Victoire Durand, a Jacmel native who now lives in Ottowa, donated the land and claims to have had a dream regarding the project five years before the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. In her dream, many Americans were gathered around a spot where her father was pointing out the location of the future clinic, school, and other buildings. Now, her dream has become a reality.
