LeSage also coached tennis for three years at San Marcos High School and was an assistant coach at Santa Barbara City College for a year. Tina Ballue Staff Writer Westmont Track and Field team traveled to Pomona- Pitzer Track and Field Invitational on Saturday, April 13 for their last meet before GSAC Championship. This is one of the largest meets the Warriors compete at, with over 1200 athletes competing; it’s a full day of track and field. This meet is especially fun for the team because there are athletes who are training for the Olympics to Paralympic athletes. Steven Alcala Sports Editor The women’s basketball team competed for top GSAC honors in the league championship finals, March 5. The contest against Vanguard University was televised live on a regional and national platform for the first time in its history. The title game was shown live on FOX College Sports on Tuesday night. Tina Ballue Staff Writer The Warriors Track and Field team traveled to Geneva, Ohio, on Tuesday, Feb. 26 to compete at Spire Center for Indoor Nationals. The energy was high as twenty-two athletes boarded the plan at LAX, as some athletes had competed in previous years.
