A National Champion

Before the final match even began, Westmont claimed an NAIA national singles champion. Two Warrior tennis players, Riva DaSilva ’97 and Ashley Fickel ’97, faced each other in the finals. Riva won the title and returns to campus next year to coach men’s tennis. Riva and Ashley also played as doubles partners and finished among the top 10 nationally. Both earned All-American honors in singles and doubles. Men’s tennis swept the Far West Regionals and finished third nationally.
