Helping the Hurting

Jason Jenkins ’97 directed a student production of “A Doll’s House” by Henrik Ibsen and raised $31,000 in cash and in-kind donations to help battered women and their children at Shelter Services for Women in Santa Barbara. Local celebrities, including Mayor Harriet Miller and Larry Crandell, joined Jason in April when he presented a check to Susan Frascella, director of the shelter, and announced the creation of a student-run outreach to battered women.
