'Horrific' event was providence for Raiders' All-Pro receiver

The Boy Scout of the old, bad-boy Oakland Raiders didn’t take an easy path to his merit badges. Tim Brown, a nine-time All-Pro wide receiver, told a packed audience at Santa Barbara Community Church on Thursday night about “one horrific event” at age 13 that led him onto a road of righteousness. Westmont College coach Kirsten Moore also spoke about the “Champions of Character Award” that her women’s basketball team received from the NAIA this year. more
