All-comers' meets to make another run in Carpinteria

While local runners can cover distances from 5k to the ultra marathon without ever leaving the area, track competitors have often had to travel to Los Angeles to compete. Van Latham is helping to change the latter while helping a longtime coach in the process. The first meet will be a benefit for longtime coach John Larralde. Larralde, who was Carpinteria High’s long-time coach before Latham took over in 1986, also coached at SBCC and is currently an assistant at Westmont College. more
