Westmont professor co-authors econ book

Westmont College professor David Newton has co-authored his seventh book, titled, “Job Creation: How it Really Works and Why Government Doesn’t Understand It.” Mr. Newton, professor of entrepreneurial finance, co-wrote the book with Andrew F. Puzder, chief executive of CKE Restaurants Inc. Mr. Newton had been speaking since 2008 on the recession and financial collapse while watching the unemployment rate rise steadily. Frequently asked how to revive sustainable job creation, Mr. Newton developed a passion for his message of private sector job creation, until his outline for a speaking engagement in early March began to resemble a book outline. It was then that he asked Mr. Puzder, who speaks on business leadership, to co-author a book on job creation and the free market. more
