Mathletes give it their all at annual High School Mathematics Contest

The Super Bowl may have yielded excitment Sunday, but mathletics trumped athletics Saturday as the 23rd annual High School Mathematics Contest proved an intense competition between the minds of about 80 students from 10 Southern California high schools. Held at Westmont College, the contests included the Chalk Talk Derby, written exams and a team-competition modeled after the TV show “College Bowl.” more
