Powerful Telescope Available For Viewing Friday

A powerful telescope will be the focus of attention at Westmont College Friday night.The Keck Telescope will be available for viewing starting at 8:30 p.m. According to Westmont Physics instructors, stargazers will have the opportunity to view the nearly full moon, the Great Globular Cluster, the Ring Nebula and Saturn’s moons. The observatory is open to the public every third Friday of the month. The viewing lasts for several hours. more

Telescope to Catch Full Moon Fever

The observatory opens its doors to the public every third Friday of the month in conjunction with the Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit, whose members bring their own telescopes to Westmont for the public to gaze through. The viewing lasts for several hours.
