Bishop Diego High’s basketball teams will both have home games in the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section playoffs. The Cardinal boys (Division 6AA) will host the Shalhevet Firehawks on Tuesday night, and the girls (Division 5A) will face the Archer Panthers on Wednesday night. Santa Barbara High will also be home against Indio in the girls Division 2A quarters. more

Faculty and administrators from around the country join the Gaede Institute’s 10th annual Conversation on the Liberal Arts at Westmont Feb. 25-26. “The Fine Art of the Liberal Arts” includes speakers Lewis Hyde, Janet Echelman and Harold Best. Warriors outlast San Diego Christian, clinch home game for GSAC playoffs

Preston Branson scored 25 points and Blake Bender added 23 as Westmont recorded its 20th basketball win of the season and the 1,100 win in program history on Saturday night. The Warriors posted a 92-86 Golden State Athletic Conference victory over San Diego Christian in El Cajon. more
