Barnaby Conrad, best-selling author and co-founder of the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and an artist whose murals are in collections around the world, died Tuesday at home in Carpinteria surrounded by family. He was 90. … Barnaby and Mary Conrad started the Santa Barbara Writers Conference in 1973 at Cate School.
