ART REVIEW: Ways and Means of the Spirit

In its first phase of operation, the Westmont Ridley-Tree Museum of Art, wonderfully designed and beautifully situated on the woodsy Montecito campus, has firmly established itself. Yet, it still faces a strange hurdle of public perception in that art-goers may be under the mistaken impression that an art museum on a Christian college campus is fixated on art of a religious order or leaning. But clearly, that’s only part of the story, given the variety of impressive shows gracing these walls thus far in its young history. more
