Something’s afoot this weekend at Whittier College
Biola topped Arizona Christian by scores of 25-9, 25-17, 25-15, led by 37 assists from setter Gracee Gallarda. The Eagles host Westmont at 7 p.m. Saturday and are 9-0 at home this season. more

Biola will most likely open up post-season play against the winner of Vanguard and Westmont. If The Master’s sneaks in an upset against San Diego Christian, the Eagles will face them, but it is rather unlikely. The semifinal game is scheduled for Saturday at Al Barbour field with a time to be determined. more
St. Dominic grad scores with sportsmanship: Musial Awards
Coach Kirsten Moore and the Westmont College women’s basketball team in Santa Barbara, Calif. In May 2012, her husband passed away unexpectedly following surgery. Seven weeks later, she gave birth to the couple’s first child. Moore persevered, and with the support of the community, she overcame adversity to guide Westmont to its first-ever NAIA women’s basketball championship.

Davidson, the GSAC Player of the Year and a first-team NAIA All-American as a junior after transferring from a community college in Arizona, has 11 goals and seven assists for the No. 11-ranked Lions, who take a 15-3 record into Thursday’s GSAC Tournament semifinal at Westmont. more

MBK: Richey starting as a freshman at William Jessup
William Jessup, currently a member of the Cal-Pac Conference, will be joining Westmont in the Golden State Athletic Conference next season.
