Ancient Peaks Winery Promotes Stewart Cameron to Winemaker Position

After studying cellular and molecular biology at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Cameron moved to San Luis Obispo. Drawn to the local wine industry, he worked in a winery lab in Paso Robles before joining Ancient Peaks in 2006. He lives in San Luis Obispo with his wife Courtney and Duke the beagle, the official winery dog of Ancient Peaks.more

The 17th-ranked Westmont women’s team finished sixth in a field of 16 in the 6,000-meter race at the UC Riverside Invitational. The race included NCAA Division I, II and III teams. more

MSoc: Warriors get defensive in win over Bethesda

A first-half penalty kick by midfielder Sean Siemens and a second-half strike by midfielder Jonathan Yeeles proved to be enough firepower for Westmont men’s soccer to smother the Flames of Bethesda 2-1 on Saturday at Thorrington Field. more

Westmont Ranked One of Top Liberal Arts Schools

Westmont College made it into the U.S. News & World Report‘s top 100 liberal arts schools for the fifth consecutive year, checking in at number 94. The Montecito institution is only one of two Christian colleges to make it onto the list. It is credited with both improving freshman retention rates and graduation rates. more

UCSB and Westmont College have both been included on U.S. News & World Report’s annual list of best colleges in the country, with UCSB ranking as the 11th-best public university in the country. more

WVB: Westmont overpowers Cal Lutheran of 12th straight

Westmont put the pedal to the metal and rolled over Cal Lutheran in a battle of undefeated women’s volleyball teams Tuesday night. The set scores were 25-20, 25-22, 25-11.

“This was one of our better games,” said Westmont  head coach Patti Cook . “I didn’t have much to say about what we needed to improve on in this match.” more
