Santa Barbara named Host Town for Special Olympics

The city of Santa Barbara has been selected to participate as a Host Town for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games. The Host Town program will run July 21-24 next year, as more than 7,000 athletes from 177 countries will be welcomed to Southern California for the Special Olympics. As a Host Town, Santa Barbara will provide visiting athletes the opportunity to experience American culture and share their own cultures with the community. Westmont College has agreed to provide housing and training facilities for the 100 visiting Special Olympics athletes.more
