CBB: Westmont dominates All-GSAC awards

The 2015 All-Golden State Athletic Conference Baseball Team has been released and it includes eight members of the Westmont. In addition, junior right-hander Russell Harmening of Oceanside has repeated as the GSAC Pitcher of the Year and junior first baseman Alex Bush of Menifee has been named the GSAC Player of the Year. more

Adams, a senior kinesiology major, won NAIA Academic All-America second-team honors in women’s soccer during her junior year. …She also helped Westmont win an NAIA Champion of Character Award last season more

UCSB making its pitch to be the nation’s best

UCSB has pitched lights out this baseball season, even if it’s been doing it mostly in the daytime. …Westmont (37-13), ranked No. 11 and seeded second in the GSAC Tournament starting Thursday, has its own wealth of pitching which includes 6-foot-6 sophomore Daniel Butler (9-0), sports information director Ron Smith said: “He has won his last eight outings, which is quite remarkable.” more

Westmont’s Adams adds Scholar-Athlete honor to list of accomplishments

Christine Adams has had a tremendous career as a student-athlete at Westmont College. In her four years as a member of the women’s soccer team, she’s played in four NAIA National Tournaments, finished as national runner-up in 2013, won Golden State Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships in 2014. more

TRK: Westmont rules GSAC; women make history

Westmont swept the Golden State Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships this weekend, with both the men’s and women’s teams claiming first place. For the women, it is the first conference championship in school history. For the men, it is their third win in a row. more

TRK: Westmont teams in first at GSAC Championships

After the first day of competition, both Westmont’s men’s and women’s teams have built a sizeable lead in the Golden State Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships. Westmont’s women have scored 100.5 points and hold a 43.5 points lead over Biola with 57 points. Concordia sits in third with 33 points while The Master’s is fourth with 25.

In the men’s competition, Westmont is up 94 to 43 over second place Biola – a 51 point margin. Arizona Christian is currently in third place with 41 points and Vanguard is in fourth with 25. more
