Sam Clay, Miles Nordgren and Daniel Kihle promoted to Fort Myers Chris Ibarra to 7-day DL; Four players arrive from Elizabethton

The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce a series of roster moves involving eight players. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move. And, pitchers Max Cordy and Andrew Vasquez and outfielders Christian Cavaness and Casey Scoggins join the Kernels from Elizabethton (APPY). The Twins selected Vasquez in the 32nd round of the 2015 First Year Player Draft out of Westmont (CA) College. He made 12 relief appearances for the GCL Twins in 2015, posting no record and a 2.92 ERA. In 17 IP, he allowed 10 hits and 10 runs (four earned) with 15 walks and 22 strikeouts. more
