IN REMEMBRANCE 2015: Local residents leave their legacy

They flew planes, survived Pearl Harbor, fought fires and saved lives. Friends, neighbors, strangers and people we only wished we knew were among those who passed in 2015. … David K. Winter, Westmont College’s longest-serving president, died Aug. 15. He was 84. Dr. Winter led the college in Montecito from 1976 to 2001 and returned as interim president and chancellor in 2006-07. more
