Lions trying to get healthy

Vanguard University men’s basketball coach Rhett Soliday is proud of the fact that his players have developed a reputation for competing right up to the breaking point… Soliday said Shacquille Dawkins, a 5-10 freshman out of Bishop Alemany High, and Billy Keller, a 6-0 junior transfer from Westmont College, are battling for the starting nod at point guard, where both will see plenty of playing time. more

Yreka Rotary announces October students of the month

The Rotary Club of Yreka students of the month for October were Casey Hill and Ryan Eastman, both of whom were treated to a lunch with their parents recently… He [Eastman] plans on attending Westmont College in order to pursue a double major in physics and engineering. more

Manges started her career in real estate at the age of 16 as a secretary in her mother’s real estate office and became licensed in 1979 while still in college. She grew up in Southern California and attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara and San Diego State University before moving to Northern California. more
