Priscilla Lamore, 91, peacefully slipped away from us and this life at home Saturday morning 9/30/2017 in Roseville, CA after a months long decline in health. … Priscilla lived in Santa Barbara, CA from 1959 to 1993. After raising her family Priscilla attended the local Westmont College to earn her teaching credentials, serving in that field at Marymount School, Guadalupe School, St. Vincent’s School and the Cottage Hospital Child Care Center before moving back to Pensacola in 1993. more

Menlo College’s Hegmann earns second GSAC weekly soccer honor

Menlo College’s Eric Hegmann earned Golden State Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors, it was announced Oct. 17. … The GSAC playoffs begin Saturday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. at either Hope International or The Master’s. The semifinals and championship game will take place at Westmont College on Thursday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 11. more

Megan Alder of Corvallis was among the 100 winners of a Young Entrepreneur Foundation Scholarship award from the National Federation of Independent Business last April. Alder attended Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis. She received an NFIB/Dave Easton Young Entrepreneur Award of $2,000. She owns NM Photo and plans to attend the University of Oregon. … Ashlie Newbill was initiated at Western Oregon University; Hollie Conger was initiated at Oregon State University; and Caylee Van Schenck was initiated at Westmont College. more
