Davies Kabogoza lived an extraordinary life that was cut short by a paddleboarding accident on April 29. The 28-year-old Santa Barbara City College and Westmont College graduate drowned after falling from a paddleboard in the Santa Barbara Harbor. more

Tiffany Costello Nabs Second Place in State 10,000

Andrea Mueller, a freshman from Erlenbach, Switzerland, is fourth in the seven-event heptathlon with 2717 points after Day 1… Mueller broke the school record earlier this year with 4382 points in the Jim Klein Heptathlon at Westmont College. more

COLLEGE ROUNDUP: UCSB finishes 11th at Regional

Sibbel and teammate Mathis Christian defeated Campbellsville’s Chris Castro and Alejandro Reyes 8-6 at No. 1 doubles. Westmont lost the other two doubles matches by scores of 8-3 and 8-5. more

Alan Williams of the Phoenix Suns, a former UCSB star, will be among 10 new inductees into the 4th annual Santa Barbara Basketball Court of Champions at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion on Sunday at 6 p.m. … Westmont will be well represented by Ron Mulder, Bill Odell, and George Terzian. more
