Born to play: Delgado’s game develops year-on-year
Edward “Lalo” Delgado has been part of the South Coast soccer scene for nearly all his life. “I grew up in a soccer family, so I was really driven to play soccer from a young age,” said the 19-year-old goalkeeper for Westmont College. Born in Santa Barbara and raised in Carpinteria, Delgado remembers his older brother and sister both playing, and family legend holds that his father also played at one time in Mexico. more
