A Golden Anniversary for Montecito Covenant Church

Members of Montecito Covenant Church got some exercise as they celebrated how far the church had come since its founding 50 years ago. The congregation gathered Sunday afternoon in Deane Chapel on the Westmont College campus, where the church first started worshiping in 1959. A Month After Fire, Support for Westmont Continues

Chris Call, vice president of Westmont College, says that he and the rest of the school community are grateful for the support they continue to receive a month after the wildfire that burned roughly 30 percent of the campus. “I don’t think anyone here is feeling like they’re going it alone,” says Call, who also serves as chair of the Montecito Covenant Church. “I have just felt upheld by prayer both physically and spiritually. I’ve seen this in others as well.” more
